Zoning Board overturns enforcement officer's determination on Burlingame garage.
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of May 19, 2026
CHARLTON — The Zoning Board of Appeals overturned the Building Commissioner's determination on a commercial garage at 186 Burlingame Road. Chair Frank Lombardi led the unanimous decision to classify the two-story garage as a pre-existing, nonconforming principal use based on determinations from December 1998 and January 1999, limiting future operation to storage of equipment, employee reporting, and vehicle maintenance. The board also granted Andrew Poirier a five-foot variance from the required 30-foot street setback for a carport at 2 #10 Schoolhouse Road, citing the lot's steep topography and limited flat area.
In other action, the board unanimously recommended the Select Board appoint Aljani Stanley and Ryan Black as alternate members.
