Zoning Board grants variance for Robert Boulevard home addition

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of January 6, 2026

Charlton Zoning Board approves expansion of Robert Boulevard home. The board unanimously granted Joshua Burden a Special Permit and Variance to add square footage and a porch to his single-family residence at 27 Robert Boulevard in an Agricultural zone. The Variance provided relief of plus 5.5 feet for the Northerly side setback and plus 3.5 feet for the Southerly side setback, with the board citing the lot's unique shape and nonconforming size as hardship justification.

Building Commissioner Curtis Meskus noted such conditions are common among lake properties. No public comment was recorded.
