Water_Sewer Commission · Meeting of January 7, 2026

CHARLTON — Water/Sewer Commission approves two budgets and authorizes rate study. Chair Robert Coleman and Vice Chair Thomas Coleman, along with Clerk Emmanuel Asenso and Member Erik Grotton, voted unanimously to approve the sewer budget with a 3,000 dollar increase to the Veolia North America contract and the water budget at 114,800 dollars. The commission also unanimously authorized consultant Mark Abrams to conduct a rate study for 18,000 dollars.

Vinnie Masterson flagged a 2,200 dollar annual overcharge from Veolia resulting from a 4.21 percent rate increase that exceeded the 3.9 percent officially approved, though the commission took no formal action on the discrepancy.
