CHARLTON — TRI-EPIC Regional Emergency Planning Committee approves treasurer report and prior minutes. The committee unanimously backed the February 10, 2025, meeting minutes and treasurer's financial overview showing $4,124.15 in the TRI-EPIC/CERT account, $124.10 in donations, and $2,216.10 in operational costs. JJ Burke presented results of a recent Hazmat Drill and outlined plans for a remote sheltering exercise, with final grant submittal due June 30, 2026.
The committee also reviewed the large-scale FIFA event set for June 11 through July 19 across Foxborough and Worcester, which will strain emergency personnel alongside Fourth of July celebrations and Sail Boston. Nineteen new CERT members from five towns are training for a final exam and drill May 28, with graduation June 4.
