CHARLTON — Select Board approves pavement contract, water commission appointment. The board unanimously awarded a $609,100 one-year pavement surfacing contract to Massachusetts Broken Stone and appointed Paul Gagner to the Water/Sewer Commission until May 2027. Unanimously approving two utility pole installations and two Special Alcoholic Beverage Licenses for community events, the board voted to place on its August agenda a resident's request to send a letter to state legislative leaders supporting an independent audit of the Massachusetts Legislature, approved by 70.24 percent of Charlton voters in November 2024.
