Charlton Select Board schedules Flock camera discussion after residents gather 160 plus petition signatures. Michelle Chalmers of Prindle Hill Road, representing residents concerned about privacy and contract compliance, asked the board to schedule a public meeting and review before any expansion or renewal of the Flock Automated License Plate Reader system. The board unanimously agreed, scheduling discussion for September 22 and requesting town counsel legal review and all related records.
In routine business, the board appointed Anne McIntosh to the Council on Aging, Jayme Burdett to the Old Home Day Committee, three Special Police Officers, and Jeffrey Lussier as Kitchen Coordinator. The board voted unanimously to eliminate fees for death certificates, effective immediately.
