CHARLTON — Recreation Commission approves portable toilet payment, defers sprinkler decision. Chair Ross Lemansky and Vice Chair Patricia Rydlak, with Member Bradford Howard absent, heard from Highway Superintendent Harold Piehl that 26 sprinkler heads at Allen and Little League Fields require replacement at an estimated cost of $1,900 to $2,300. The commission voted unanimously to approve a Slims and Berthiaume portable toilet invoice but deferred the sprinkler project to its June 8 meeting.
Vice Chair Rydlak's field inspection flagged missing lights and scoreboard repairs at Maynard Field; Chair Lemansky agreed to pursue funding and site plan amendment discussions for the improvements.
