Recreation Commission approves 2025 annual report revisions, plans spring readiness.

Recreation Commission · Meeting of February 16, 2026

Charlton Recreation Commission approves 2025 annual report revisions. Chair Sheri Zanca and Member Ross Lemansky voted unanimously on the report, with Vice Chair Patricia Rydlak absent. The commission heard a presentation from Diane Doherty about bringing Thomas Dambo's giant trolls to Capen Hill Nature Sanctuary, requiring fundraising and community involvement.

Chair Zanca announced her seat expires in May and she will not seek re-election, creating an open vacancy. The commission set a combined meeting with All-Leagues for March 2, 2026, to discuss the Blueberry Festival, Trunk or Treat, troll donations, and legal matters under the commission's jurisdiction.
