Maxfield, currently a Land-Use Planner in Easthampton, Massachusetts, for 2.5 years, outlined his background and interests during the interview. He highlighted Charlton's mid-size and proximity to major highways as economic growth opportunities and expressed interest in participating in the town's Master Plan update.
Chair Patsy Rydlak stated she would contact Human Resources Director Lynn Dyer to formally offer Maxfield the Planning Director position.
