CHARLTON — Old Home Day Committee approves $7,000 fireworks expansion for September event. Chair Kathleen Walker signaled her intention to step down, with member Rebecca Burden expressing interest in leading if vendor duties are streamlined. Member James Pervier confirmed bands and entertainment totaling $2,500, including Hold'n Back the 60's Band and a Neil Young impersonator.
The committee voted unanimously to boost the pyrotechnical display to 25 minutes. New England Stone Lifting will debut as a vendor, leaving a permanent "Charlton Stone" for display.
