CHARLTON — Fire Substation Building Committee approves $67,935 in change orders and transfers contingency funds. The committee unanimously approved Change Order Number 9, comprising three separate proposals for interior finishes, porch construction, and sprinkler modifications at a combined cost of $67,935.97. Andrew Golas reported that reconciliation of expenses between the Town and CHA revealed unanticipated borrowing costs, prompting a unanimous vote to transfer $43,612 from contingency to administration.

The project stands at approximately 38 percent complete with $4,965,311 expended to date and $8,081,946 remaining; contingency balance stands at $2,367,350.
