CHARLTON — Fay Mountain Farm Committee affirms Chair Armand Bessette and Vice Chair Mike Poulin while appointing Brian Sullivan and Kathleen Walker as alternate members. In its substantive action, the committee voted unanimously to hire the town's engineering firm to assess proposed barn repairs and recommend a scope of work and cost estimate; preliminary estimates for the project totaled $250,000. Conservation and Stormwater Director Rose Conway reported that contact with the Department of Agricultural Resources regarding an Agricultural Preservation Restriction remains pending.
The committee agreed to wait for the Request for Proposal for a new farm manager to be finalized and advertised by the Board of Selectmen.
