Conservation Commission Ratifies Stormwater Enforcement Orders

Charlton Conservation Commission approves site improvements, ratifies stormwater enforcement orders. Vice-Chair Ed Nowak presided over the meeting, with Chair Tom O'Malley absent. The commission closed two Notice of Intent hearings, issuing Orders of Conditions for residential projects at 61 T Hall Road and 101 N Sturbridge Road.

The commission also ratified two Enforcement Orders for stormwater violations at 253 Worcester Road, where sediment-laden runoff extended nearly 100 feet into protected wetlands; the property owner has been issued three fines for continuing violations despite cease-and-desist orders. Six additional development proposals were continued to January 28 or February 11 for further review.
