Community Center Feasibility Committee charts senior center study timeline

Community Center Feasibility Committee · Meeting of February 23, 2026

CHARLTON — Senior center feasibility committee discusses engineering study timeline against warrant constraints. Town Administrator Andrew outlined the scope of LiRo Engineering's study comparing three options: renovating town hall, purchasing and renovating 107 Dresser Hill Road, or building new. Committee Chair Pat Stockwell expressed concerns about meeting the March 10th warrant deadline, asking about alternatives for a May warrant placement.

The Friends of the Charlton Seniors board plans its first meeting to finalize 501c3 status, and a survey targeting all Charlton residents 60 and older will be distributed via mailer and the Council on Aging newsletter.
