Committee targets October town meeting for community center study completion

Community Center Feasibility Committee · Meeting of March 9, 2026

CHARLTON — Community Center Feasibility Committee greenlights October town meeting timeline for center study. The committee approved consultant LiRo's task order with a March 10 start date, with Chair Pat Stockwell and members agreeing that fall completion avoids concurrent projects and allows the friends fundraising organization time to launch. Committee member Hank is overseeing survey scanning and compilation; 25 to 30 responses have arrived from over 700 seniors contacted through newsletter and Senior Center drop-off.

The committee will reduce meeting frequency to once monthly, with next meeting April 6.
