Committee approves nine proposed bylaw amendments

CHARLTON — The Charlton Bylaw Review Committee approved nine proposed amendments to town bylaws. The committee, which includes Joseph Haebler, Bradford Howard, Denise Renaud, Mike Kavorkian, and Jeanne Costello (alternate), along with Select Board representative Basia Zurawski, endorsed changes affecting police chief titles in Chapters 100, 105, 123, and 157, and transferred parking clerk responsibilities to the Town Administrator under Section 10-2. Several items, including review of Select Board authority regarding TIF approvals and revolving fund procedures, were referred to Town Counsel and the Finance Director for further analysis.
