Commission processes multiple wetland applications, issues enforcement action

Charlton Conservation Commission processed nine environmental applications and took enforcement action on stormwater violations. The commission issued Orders of Conditions for four projects involving single-family homes, septic repairs, and utility work in state-protected wetland buffer zones, with Conservation Director Rose Conway recommending approval for each. Four additional applications were continued to February 25 for further review, including a 33-unit multi-family housing development.
The commission voted unanimously to extend a solar farm permit to March 12, 2029, and to issue a cease-and-desist order to 60 City Depot Road for stormwater runoff violations documented in an EPA inspection report.
