The committee reviewed LiRo architectural assessments incorporating design modifications for security, storage, screened-in porch, and parking, plus a new construction option at an alternate site. An MCOA grant of up to $25,000 is available for improvements to the existing Senior Center, including handicapped accessibility.

A community survey targeting 2,200 residents is underway with approximately 400 copies mailed; senior interviews are being compiled for public release; and a 501(c)(3) entity, Friends of the Charlton Senior/Community Center, is nearing establishment.
