Charlton Planning Board Conditionally Approves Premier Trailer Leasing Site Plan

CHARLTON — June 4, 2025 — Charlton Planning Board conditionally approves Premier Trailer Leasing site plan at 130 Sturbridge Road. The board voted unanimously at its June 4 meeting to approve construction of two buildings totaling 6,545 square feet and regrading of the existing trailer yard, conditioned on satisfying outstanding peer-review comments from the town's engineering consultant, Graves Engineering, written fire department approval of a new on-site hydrant, and Conservation Commission sign-off. The applicant, which has operated the site since 2018, argued that most of Graves' May 30 letter comments were already addressed; the board accepted comments one, two, three, and six as resolved through deliberation and required all remaining items be cleared before any building permits are issued. The board also continued two public hearings — a doggy daycare hours modification at 10 North Sturbridge Road and a multi-family development proposal at 35 North Main Street — to its next scheduled meeting on July 16, the first session after a month-long gap with no June meetings.
