Charlton feasibility committee advances community center timeline

Community Center Feasibility Committee · Meeting of April 6, 2026

Charlton community center study advances to fall ballot. The Community Center Feasibility Study Committee, chaired by Pat Stockwell, accelerated its evaluation timeline to support a November debt-exclusion vote on a community center project. The committee reviewed LiRo's assessment of the Dresser Hill property, the primary location under study, and noted that the second building would require demolition.

With 16 new resident surveys collected and a plan to mail surveys to approximately 2,500 additional households, the committee plans to present a final feasibility study by late August or early September to meet the November ballot deadline.
